Expand May. 18, 2023 Crestline Ambulances to Celebrate EMS Practitioners

May 18, 2023 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan | Van Wert, Ohio: Crestline Coach Ltd is a Canadian-based ambulance manufacturer with a unique product line and distribution network in the United States. They serve both countries with equal dedication to delivering an affordable, safe, and durable ambulance. They will celebrate Paramedic Services Week in Canada and National EMS Week in the US from May 21-27, 2023. Crestline’s celebrations will include an online giveaway to win a crew lunch, awareness for the EMS profession, and public gratitude for the EMTs, paramedics, and the entire EMS workforce doing great work in their local communities. Those interested in participating in the giveaway should follow Crestline on Facebook at Facebook.com/CrestlineCoachLtd.

“May was a big month for us last year, and we really enjoyed celebrating Paramedic Services Week and National EMS Week back to back,” says Canada’s Sales & Marketing Vice President, Scott Sawatsky. “This year, we’re even more excited since the two overlap. Sometimes we are quick to separate the two markets based on their geographical location. However, we have learned that while the equipment, requirements, or governing laws may differ between the two, the people we serve are the same. EMS professionals are amazing. Day in and day out, they serve others, rushing to their aid in times of need. These people are everyday heroes and deserve recognition for their immense contribution to their communities.”

May 21-27, 2023, will mark the 49th annual National EMS Week in the United States. The week was established by President Gerald Ford to celebrate the EMS practitioners and the vital work they do in their local communities. The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) partner to lead the annual EMS Week activities. This year, they have selected the overall theme of “Where Emergency Care Begins” and have put together resources and suggestions to ensure that the crucial contributions of EMS professionals are fully celebrated and recognized. Daily themes will be observed as well.

In Canada, Paramedic Services Week 2023 will highlight the theme, “Diversity in Paramedicine – The Patient. The Provider. The Profession.” It will also have daily themes May 21-27, 2023, that include: Equity-Diversity-Inclusion (Monday), Diversity in Patients (Tuesday), Diversity in the Provider (Wednesday), Paramedic Research (Thursday), and Diversity in the Profession (Friday). The week is overseen by the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada.

Crestline will observe both events by sharing content and social media resources related to daily themes. In addition, throughout the week of May 21-27, 2023, people can also enter an online giveaway. The giveaway will be open to all EMS professionals in the United States and Canada. The prize will be lunch for the winning department. Two winners will be selected, one from each country. Those interested in entering should follow Crestline on Facebook at Facebook.com/CrestlineCoachLtd.

Expand Apr. 25, 2023 Crestline Coach Tackles Production Lead Times Through Its Expansion Project

April 25, 2023 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (SK): Crestline Coach Ltd., a global ambulance manufacturer, is proud to unveil an additional 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space at its existing facility in Saskatoon, SK, marking the completion of a major initiative to address the critical supply of ambulances to its EMS/Fire based customers across North America.

This expansion responds to a strategy to bring lead times back to pre-pandemic levels and address the serious ambulance shortage resulting from the successive crises that have hit the industry over the past two years. Supply chain and logistics issues, escalating raw material costs, labour availability challenges, and a lack of predictable chassis availability have prevented ambulance manufacturers from delivering the expected volume to meet the demand. This expansion will help Crestline accelerate its production to fulfill a large backlog and continued growth in demand while progressing back to pre-pandemic and chassis crisis lead times.

“This project began in 2020 when we had no idea what was ahead of us as we entered the pandemic. The investment was focused on gaining efficiency and optimizing production to support our commitment to providing the best value to our customers through advancements in the product line and feature enhancement. Despite the turmoil and economic uncertainty, Crestline remained focused on its core mission and maintained this investment initiative to ensure we would be ready to face the reality of the ongoing post-crisis challenges so that we could deliver our products in a proper timeframe. Today, our company is proud to announce this milestone of our strategic plan, demonstrating our commitment to our customers and the leadership role of Crestline and its partner brands in the industry.”, said Steve Hoffrogge, President Canada, Demers-Crestline.

Crestline’s manufacturing process is complex, starting with a simple aluminum sheet and ending with a complete ambulance, integrating the latest innovations. “Expanding our plant enables us to optimize each workstation along the production line for a more effective manufacturing process. Ultimately, this major investment allows us to speed up the production process while improving the working environment of our employees”, adds Steve Hoffrogge. In addition to the increased plant size and the investment in new equipment, the production line and fabrication processes have been completely redesigned. The powder-coating capacity has been doubled to maintain the level of expertise required for the durability of Crestline ambulances paint, which is covered by the industry-leading warranty. The message is clear: more volume same attention to detail.

Crestline expansion sets the stage for process efficiencies and productivity gains, enabling Crestline to increase production volume in support of shorter lead times. “Given the national ambulance shortages, this news comes at a critical time for us,” said Kerri Walker, Vice President U.S. Commercial Division. “We are committed to minimizing disruptions for our dealer partners, and we hope this brings a much-needed sigh of relief for our customers.”

Crestline recently partnered with EMS World to examine the reasons behind the ambulance procurement crisis and explored practical solutions which EMS/Fire services can deploy to minimize disruption to their fleets until the universal shortages improve. Click here to download the eBook.

Expand Sep. 20, 2021 Demers, Braun, Crestline to Support EMS World Expo 2021 from a Distance

Regarding the health and safety of our employees and dealer family, we regret to announce Demers, Braun, Crestline will not be attending EMS World Expo 2021 on October 4-8, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia. Instead, we will support the event from a distance, remaining a long-time advertiser with EMS World media, and as a champion for the EMS profession.

“We are disappointed that we will not be at EMS World Expo this year,” says Chad Brown, Vice President of US Sales for Demers, Braun, Crestline. “It is a great tradeshow, and we were looking forward to being together for the event. Fortunately, we will still be participating from afar. It is an annual tradition to sponsor the NAEMT EMT of the Year award, which is presented at the event. We also have two products named EMS World Expo Innovation Awards finalists, the Braun Ambulance TLC ambulance model, and IMPACT Airbag System safety feature.”

The NAEMT EMT of the Year award will be presented on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, to an emergency medical technician who demonstrates excellence in the performance of emergency medical services, with their primary role being that of prehospital patient care. The award recipient receives $1,000 in cash, three core program registrations, and $1,200 for travel and lodging at the EMS World Expo and NAEMT Annual Meeting held the same year as the award. This year’s winner is Tracie Sanders, EMT from Normanna, Texas. Congratulations Tracie!

The Braun Ambulance TLC is a critical care transport (CCT) unit designed for interfacility transport. The model debuted at EMS Today in March 2020, right before the pandemic, but was eligible for the awards this year. To learn more about the TLC model, please click here.

The IMPACT Airbag System is a new safety feature unique to Braun Ambulances. It was released at FDIC 2021 and is available now on select ambulance models. The system includes strategically placed airbags using IMMI’s RollTek™ technology, progressive resistance padding at head strike points, and advanced seating restraints in all positions. To learn more about the IMPACT Airbag System, please click here.

For those who wish to attend EMS World Expo in-person or virtually, registration is open on EMSWorldExpo.com.  Virtual benefits include the ability to stream over 40+ classes live from anywhere, access to sessions up to 1 year after the event, connect and network with other professionals in small group meetings, and more.
